“In dark times, will there also be singing? Yes, there will be singing. About the dark times.”
- Bertolt Brecht.

In these politically haunting times, Jewish Theatre Collaborative creates and presents ‘Echoes: A Cabaret Response to the Disappeared’, as part of Portland’s Fertile Ground Festival of New Works, January 2015.

Echoes will explore the subject of forced disappearance and how we can give life to those whose memory was “erased”. This original staged-reading event featuring songs, poetry and readings, is part of JTC’s Page2Stage season, which culminates in the theatrical world-premiere of Nathan Englander’s The Ministry of Special Cases – a novel that shares themes with this cabaret event.

January 26 at Mittleman Jewish Community Center, 6651 SW Capitol Highway
