The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies at Portland State University presents the annual Lorry I. Lokey Lecture. Visiting artist Loli Kantor ​will speak on Eastern European Jewish life and art, followed by a conversation between Kantor and Professor Natan Meir, chair of the Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies.

A selection of the photographs from Kantor's recent book, Beyond the Forest: Jewish Presence in Eastern Europe, 2004-2012, will be displayed in the MK Gallery of the Art Building April 20th-30th, including a special reception on Tuesday, April 28th before the lecture. Refreshments will be served beginning at 5:00, so please come early to the MK Gallery to enjoy Kantor's photography.
