The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies at Portland State University presents the annual Lorry I. Lokey Lecture. Visiting artist Loli Kantor will speak on Eastern European Jewish life and art, followed by a conversation between Kantor and Professor Natan Meir, chair of the Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies.
A selection of the photographs from Kantor's recent book, Beyond the Forest: Jewish Presence in Eastern Europe, 2004-2012, will be displayed in the MK Gallery of the Art Building April 20th-30th, including a special reception on Tuesday, April 28th before the lecture. Refreshments will be served beginning at 5:00, so please come early to the MK Gallery to enjoy Kantor's photography.
