"That night,
as I listened to the rustling of the winds
and watched the milky smear in the moonless sky,
I wondered if these were the same stars that hovered over me
in Iran when I was eleven. A young girl, head upturned,
brimming with the dreams of faraway lands
with turmoil and rebellion pulsing in the air.
I thought I'd come so far, yet we were still, me and the stars,
and all that exists between us."
- Angella Narazian
