The Jewish Cemetery at River View was created as a cooperative effort between three congregations: Shir Tikvah, P’nai Or of Portland, and Kol Shalom Community of Humanistic Judaism. Founded to serve all Jews, this consecrated cemetery is secluded in a corner of Portland’s best-maintained non-profit burial ground.

 

Open to all Jews, regardless of affiliation, the Jewish Cemetery at River View allows burial of a non-Jewish spouse or partner and burial of a same-sex spouse or partner.  The Cemetery also offers cremation plots and a Wall of Remembrance for the names of those who are buried elsewhere.
