Cedar Sinai Park, one of Portland’s non-profit premier senior living and care organizations is seeking an Advancement Director with a proven track record in building development programs. This is a full-time, benefited position, daytime position.

We are located at 6125 SW Boundary St. Portland, Oregon 97221, in the Raleigh Hills area of southwest Portland. We are on bus line 54 and 56 from Portland to Beaverton.

The primary purpose of this position is to develop, organize and execute all of the fundraising programs at Cedar Sinai Park. The Director is responsible for the supervision, direction and facilitation of development programs, staff, consultants and volunteers in these areas. A key part of this role is being the primary relationship-builder with donors and potential donors. The Director participates with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Cedar Sinai Park as a member of the Executive Management Team and serves as a close colleague with the Communications and Grants Director/Manager and the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities include:
· Creates short-term and long-term advancement goals and plans in collaboration with the CEO and the Communications and Grants Dir/Manager.
· Develops an annual budget for fundraising activities in collaboration with the CEO and CFO.
· Serves as a staff liaison to the Cedar Sinai Park Foundation Board of Directors.
· Partners with the Governing Board of Cedar Sinai Park on fundraising activities.
· Leads the development of donor relationships with current and prospective donors and prioritizing meaningful donor activities as a priority of the Advancement Program.
· Responsible for developing and executing a major and planned giving program.
· Serves as the organization’s primary major gift officer and planned gift officer in developing personal relationships in person, via phone, virtual meetings and email.
· Partners with the CEO on personal donor contact and drives strategies to engage individual donors.
· Responsible for the tracking donor relationships through a moves management system in the donor database.
· Maintains and fosters good relationships in the Jewish Community and the Greater Portland community by attending major community events and working closely with the staffs at Cedar Sinai Park, Oregon Jewish Community Foundation, Jewish Federation, its agencies and other appropriate community organizations.
· Collaborates with the CEO, Cedar Sinai Park leaders and staff, and the Dir/Manager of Communications and Grants on the development of cases for support and budgets for fundraising projects.
· Responsible for financial reconciliation in partnership with the CFO and accounting/finance staff.
· Collaborates with the CEO, CFO and other staff on endowment management, as well as gift acceptance and crediting policy development.
· Responsible for the development of team metrics and overseeing reports and dashboards to communicate progress.

Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of advancement experience.
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation preferred.
· Demonstrated success in strategic development of advancement programs and growing major donor relationships.
· Strong leadership and communication skills, including public speaking ability.
· Ability to work with a variety of people in different roles including residents, patients, staff at all levels, organizational leadership, board members, volunteers, community leaders.
· Ability to organize time effectively, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Knowledge of national standards and trends in fundraising, including gift planning.
· Proficiency in fundraising databases required.

Compensation: $80,000 to $100,800 annual salary
