CBI welcomes Franklin Foer, one of the nation’s most respected political journalists, as our 2024
Oseran Family Lecturer.
A staff writer at the Atlantic, Foer was also editor of the New Republic magazine for seven years. His most recent book, The Last Politician: Inside Joe Biden’s White House and the Struggle for America’s Future was an instant New York Times bestseller.
He’s also the author of World Without Mind: The Existential Threat of Big Tech and How Soccer Explains the World: An Unlikely Theory of Globalization, translated into 27 languages, which Sports Illustrated named on the “most influential books of the decade.” Foer also co-edited Jewish Jocks: An Unorthodox Hall of Fame, a winner of the National Jewish Book Award. His work has also won the Plume Libre prize and the Premio Terzani.
