The Jewish embrace of life is intertwined with respect for those who came before. In between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, there is a beautiful custom for families to gather at our cemeteries to recite special readings and hear the memorial prayers graveside. Depending on weather, we will gather outdoors or in the chapels. Join Congregation Neveh Shalom for their Kever Avot visits to the Neveh Zedek cemetery at 9:30 and the Ahavai Shalom cemetery at 10:30.

- Go East on Terwilliger (toward Taylor's Ferry Road)
- Turn Left on Primrose (2 blocks past Taylor's Ferry intersection)
- Turn right on Boones Ferry
- Immediate Left on Palatine Hill (through traffic triangle)
- Turn right on First Avenue
- See gated entry at the end of the street

From Neveh Shalom:
- Head west on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway
- Turn Right on Laurelwood (across from Fred Meyer)
- At the stop sign, turn left at Birchwood
- Road will curve to the right and become 87th
- At the Traffic Signal, cross over Canyon Road
- At the stop sign, take a wide Right onto Canyon Lane (cross over Canyon Drive)
- After the 4-way stop, Neveh Zedek is on the left (see small brown sign above a black mailbox, opposite a 25mph speed sign)
From Hwy 26 Westbound:
- Take Canyon Road Exit # 71A
- Stay straight and go onto SW Canyon Rd/OR-8
- Turn Right onto SW Canyon Lane (at 2nd stoplight)
- Continue past 5 speed bumps & a stop sign at Westslope
- When you see “Slow” sign, Cemetery is on the Right
From Hwy 26 Eastbound:
- From 26 East, take Hwy 217 South
- Take Walker Rd. exit
- Turn Left on Walker Rd.
- Turn Left on Canyon Road
- Pass stoplight at 91st, pass 89th, and then turn Left onto Canyon Ln (across from Lexus dealer)
- After the 4-way stop, Neveh Zedek is on the Left (see small brown sign above a black mailbox, opposite a 25mph speed sign)
