Ken Iverson has been telling stories most of his life.  He loves the connection that sharing stories creates and how a story can bring people together.  Ken is a founding member and past-president of the Portland Storytellers’ Guild.  He offers Beginning Storytelling and Personal Story Creation Workshops and has presented workshops in Boston, MA and Newport, OR.

In addition to Boston and Newport, Ken has presented Beginning Storytelling Workshops at the Seattle Folklife Festival, for the Portland Storytellers Guild, Portland Waldorf School, as well as through private classes.  He loves wordplay and delights in the power of words to form images that transport us to another place or time.  Ken tells original stories as well as traditional and contemporary folktales and myths from around the world for audiences of all ages.

His enthusiastic telling has been well received throughout the Pacific Northwest. Ken was awarded the 2nd Place trophy in the Seattle Folklife Festivals renowned Liar’s Contest in both 2011 and 2012. He was also a featured teller at the Folklife Festivals Ghost Story event in 2012 and 2013.
